Accessibility

We want Corneo to work for everyone who uses an iPhone, including with larger text, in dark mode and with VoiceOver. This page says what we check, what we know is not right yet, and how to tell us about a problem. We have not had a formal accessibility audit, so this is not a claim of conformance with any standard.

What we test

• Larger text. The main screens are checked with Dynamic Type at the largest standard size and at the first accessibility size (AX1), on the smallest current iPhone screen.
• Light and dark. Every main screen is checked in both appearances.
• Contrast. An automated test checks the text colours against their backgrounds in both appearances.
• Tap targets. Buttons and other controls are at least 44 by 44 points.
• Layout. An automated check runs on every change and fails if a main screen overflows, clips text, or has a control below that size, at two screen widths and in both appearances.
• Reduced motion. With Reduce Motion on, the app and this website skip their animations.

Known gaps

These are the VoiceOver problems we know about in the current version, and we are fixing them:

• On Today, VoiceOver reads a routine step but does not say whether it is done.
• The back arrow inside the Log sheet has no spoken label.
• The round photo button when adding a product has no spoken label, and taking a new photo there needs a long press, which VoiceOver users cannot easily find. Choosing a photo from your library works.
• Product photos on your Shelf, in photo results and in the Log sheet are not described. The product name next to each one is read.

Email support@corneo.app with the subject "Accessibility". Tell us which screen, what you were trying to do, and which setting you use (VoiceOver, text size, Voice Control or another). A person reads every message, and an accessibility problem is treated as a bug, not a feature request.
