Privacy Policy

Corneo is a skincare routine app made by Selana Technologies LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy says what the app and this website collect, why, who else handles it, and how to remove it. It is written to be read, not skimmed. If anything here is unclear, email support@corneo.app.
The short version
- We collect what the app needs to build and run your routine: an email if you sign up with one, your quiz answers stored as routine constraints, the products you tell us you own, and what you log in the app.
- A photo you take to read product labels is not stored. Product photos on your Shelf and snapshots you add to your timeline are stored in your own private folder until you delete your account.
- Corneo never analyses your face or skin, never stores a health status, and never sends the content of your routine or your answers to analytics or crash reporting.
- You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, at any time.
What we collect
Account
You can use Corneo without giving an email: the app creates an anonymous account on your device so your data can be saved and synced. If you later add an email address, or sign up with one, we store that address to sign you in and to send you a password reset or sign-in link when you ask for one. We do not send marketing email to it.
Quiz answers, stored as constraints
Onboarding asks a few questions about your skin and what you want. We store the answers as routine constraints, not as facts about you. For example, choosing “pregnancy-safe only” stores a setting to exclude certain ingredients; it does not store whether you are pregnant. Choosing that you mark easily stores a setting that slows exfoliant scheduling; it does not store a skin type classification. The routine is the same either way, and no sensitive category of information is recorded.
Your shelf and routine
The products you say you own, roughly how much is left in each, how old they are, the routine Corneo built with you, the steps you tick off, and the events you log (a product running out, a step up, irritation you chose to record). This is the working data of the app. It is stored in your account and visible only to you.
Photos
There are three places a photo can enter Corneo, and they are handled differently.
Reading labels. If you photograph your shelf so Corneo can read the labels, the photo is sent from our server to the Anthropic API, which returns the product names it can read. That photo is used only for that reading. It is not stored by us, it is not analysed for anything about you, and it is not used by us to train any model. You can skip the photo and type products in instead.
Product photos. If you add a photo to a product on your Shelf, it is stored as that product’s picture in a private folder that belongs to your account. No one else can read it, and it is not sent to Anthropic or anyone else.
Timeline snapshots. If you add a photo to your timeline to compare against later, it is stored in the same private folder. Corneo shows it back to you and does nothing else with it: it is never analysed, never sent to Anthropic, and never used to change your routine.
Both kinds of stored photo are removed when you delete your account.
Adjusting your routine in words
If you ask the app to change your routine by typing a request (“swap the toner for something gentler”), the text of that request and the routine it applies to are sent to the Anthropic API to turn it into a concrete edit. The edit is then checked against the same rules as everything else before it is applied. Nothing from this is used to build a profile of you.
Deals
If you set a price watch, we store the product, the price you entered and the target. If you tap a link to a retailer from the app, we record that a link was tapped so the app can later ask whether the product arrived. Some retailer links are affiliate links; the retailer may pay us a small commission on a purchase, at no cost to you. This never affects which products the app suggests.
Website
If you join the invite list on this site, we store the email address you entered, where on the site you entered it, and when. To limit abuse, our server keeps a salted hash of the network address for about a day; the address itself is not stored.
What we never do
- Analyse your face or skin. Corneo has no face or skin analysis and never will as an input to your routine. A snapshot you add to your timeline is shown back to you and nothing more.
- Health status. No pregnancy status, no diagnosis, no skin type classification. Constraints only, as described above.
- Collect location, contacts, or anything else on your phone beyond the photos you choose to share.
Analytics and crash reporting
The app sends usage events to PostHog so we can see where people get stuck, for example “quiz completed”. Event names and properties carry no content: never a quiz answer, never a product, never a routine, never a constraint value.
The app sends crash reports to Sentry so we can fix what breaks. A report contains the error, a stack trace and the screen name. It never contains photo bytes, routine contents or anything derived from your answers.
Neither service is given your email address.
Who else handles your data
Five providers run parts of Corneo for us: Supabase, Sentry, PostHog, the Anthropic API and Vercel, and all of them process your data in the United States. If you use Corneo from somewhere else, your data is sent to and handled there.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Your account data is kept until you delete your account. A photo taken to read labels is not kept at all. Product photos and timeline snapshots are kept in your account’s private folder until you delete your account. Analytics events and crash reports are kept for a limited time by those providers and then discarded. Invite-list emails are kept until we have sent the invite or you ask us to remove yours.
Deleting your account
Open the app, go to Profile, then Delete account at the bottom of the page, and type DELETE to confirm. Deletion removes your sign-in record, every row of data tied to it and every stored photo, all at once, and it cannot be undone. This works for anonymous accounts too.

Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@corneo.app from the address on your account and we will do it. Deleting is fastest from inside the app.
Age
Corneo is for people aged 16 and over. If you are under 16, do not use Corneo and do not give us any information. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think someone under 16 has created an account, email us and we will remove it.
Changes
This policy took effect on 23 September 2026. If it changes in a way that matters, the app will say so the next time you open it, and the date at the top of this page will change.
